Weekly Mileage-52.jpg

I felt so much better this week.  Sunshine is good for the soul.  I ran 4 days this week and it felt so good.  I set out again to run each day longer than the previous day.

This week I set out to do Judy’s challenge.   I did good but had a hard time with indigo.

Rainbow challenge

Green, orange, and red.  Is the corn blue or indigo?  I’ve been to this restaurant a few times and the food is delicious!

Our Governor extended the stay at home order for another month.  Now it is till May 30th.  I don’t like it one bit but I know it is for our own good.

I sent another letter to my students.  Most likely I will send 2-3 more this summer.  Who knows if we’ll even go back to school in the Fall.  I’ve read that eLearning/Remote Learning might continue to the Fall.

I finished watching “Unorthodox” and “Dirty John”.  They’re both SO GOOD!  Now I am watching “Person of Interest”.  Who remembers that show?  I remember watching a few episodes but didn’t watch it every week.

Our family got some sad news on Saturday.  One of my uncles, my mother’s brother, died on Saturday from COVID-19.  It is so weird when almost every day you see on the TV screen the number of deaths from the day before and now my uncle is part of that number.  His wife also has the virus.  I hope she gets better soon.  I cannot imagine her sons losing both set of parents.  We are also very sad that we cannot visit and hug them.

And to end on a happy note, here is a photo of both of my cats sleeping.  It is very rare that they both sleep like that with me.

How was your week?  Have you done Judy’s Rainbow Challenge?

Linking up with Kim and Deborah for the Weekly Run Down.

  1. Oh,,,, so sad to hear of your uncle’s passing . I hope your aunt is able to rally back. I did the rainbow challenge last week, over lunch. It really was an easy hunt…except for indigo. Glad to hear your runs went well!

  2. I am so sorry about your uncle. Its one thing to see all those horrible numbers on TV and then another thing to actually have your loved ones to be a part of that number. And it’s also terrible that you can’t be together with your family.
Glad you had some good runs this week!

    • Thank you. It makes me sad that his siblings can’t go to the funeral to pay their respects. My mother talked to him on Friday so at least she is finding some comfort in that she heard his voice one more time. Not sure if I am saying that correctly?

  3. I’m so sorry, Zenaida. That must be very hard for you and your family.
I love that you write letters to your students. I’m sure they will appreciate it.
I watched Unorthodox and Dirty John as well. Loved both. I haven’t heard of “Person of Interest”. The trailer looks great!

  4. Congrats on a strong running week! I’m sorry for your loss, hope your Aunt recovers soon. Our state is talking about reopening at the end of this week, which seems very soon.

  5. So sorry about your uncle.

I enjoyed Unorthodox too. Now I’m binge watching Schitts Creek.

Kudos on the runs. Mine are often less than 3 miles. It’s fine. Just important to move.

Hope you have a good week

  6. I’m so sorry for your loss, Zenaida. I hope your aunt is able to make a full recovery. I stopped watching the Governor’s daily press conferences. The new cases/death totals are so stressful to think about. I fear for my dad with so many caretakers coming into his home. Your kitties are so cute!

    • Thanks. Well, I think I should clarify but I don’t watch the press conference every day. I used to in the beginning but then realized it was pretty much the same news. I can imagine how you feel about your dad. 🙁 Hugs to you.

  7. I’m so sorry about your uncle.

I did the rainbow challenge too, though I didn’t take any pictures for proof!

I’ve been focusing on runs around the 2-3 mile distance, though the most I’ve been able to get is 3 runs in one week.

I know your kids will be so happy to get your letters!

    • Thanks. If you did the challenge then you did it. I believe you. 🙂 Right now any run is better than no run. I am finding that anything less than 3 miles is perfect for me.

  8. I’m so sorry about your uncle and hope your aunt makes a full recovery. That’s just so sad.

I did the rainbow challenge and it was so fun.

Hello, kitties. I am always up for pet pictures.

  9. I’m sorry to hear about your uncle. I lost my grandfather last week to Covid-19 and my grandmother, aunt, and uncle also have it. It’s a terrible, terrible virus. I hope your aunts recovers. Sending you positive vibes.

  10. I’m so sorry to hear about your uncle 🙁 I hope that his wife is able to recover.

I’m going to try the rainbow challenge this week. I think I’m going to have a hard time with indigo too.
