I am so happy that it’s Friday!  I’m starting off the weekend with a little catch-up over the Ultimate Coffee Date hosted by Coco and Deborah.  So grab a mug of your favorite beverage and let’s chat for a bit!

If we were having coffee…
I’d tell you that I did not buy much during Black Friday.  I did spend a couple hundred dollars on beauty products and some bras.  What more could I possibly need?  Wait, I do want the “Run Fast.  Eat Slow” cookbook.  Anyone has the cookbook?  Thoughts?

If we were having coffee…
I’d tell you that I lost my blogging mojo.  I am mentally exhausted after work and have had no desire to blog.  I was not motivated either.  It is slowly coming back and I am happy to be posting today.  Kudos to all of you that post several times a week!

If we were having coffee…
I’d tell you that while I appreciate the free stuff that companies give for someone’s birthday, I am annoyed that they do not give you enough time to redeem the offers.  I remember when Starbucks gave you about a month and now it is one day.  Portillo’s is about 5 days and while I had a chance to redeem it the Sunday after my birthday, the wait time was too long so I went home.  The last day to redeem it was last Friday and I didn’t go.  Oh well.

If we were having coffee…
I’d tell you that one day I was at Costco looking for a multivitamin.  I’ve been using Ritual for years but wanted to try something different and cheaper.  I came across Kirkland Signature Daily Multi.  However, it was the Mature Multi for Adults 50+.  While I am not there yet, I bought it anyway.  Never too early, right?

If we were having coffee…
I’d tell you that I look forward to my glass of wine a few times a week.  🤫 Wine relaxes me after a long day at work.  But I need to cut back.  Training is getting intense and I need to make sure I am up and awake early each morning.

  1. I agree with most of what you said.
One day for a free cup of coffee. Too much pressure.
And yes. I need my wine to relax. Working all day is stressful.
The only way to get my blog posts done is when I have time, I write them ahead. Way ahead
. I do not take any vitamins. I used to but Im not sure they really did anything.

Glad to have you back in the blogging world.

    • I am trying to write them in advance but sometimes that is a struggle. I also draw a blank when trying to figure out what to write. I need to go over the posts you all wrote to get some ideas. 😀

  2. I got so annoyed with Starbucks when they cut back on their birthday drink reward! I was able to redeem mine this year, and also a free cookie at Panera. I will say all the “happy birthday” emails from companies was an eye-opener as to who has my personal details!

I hope your training keeps going well!

    • I didn’t redeem the cookie from Panera. There aren’t that many by where I live and when I did see one (I just went to one last Friday), I forgot about it. 🤦🏻‍♀️

  3. nice to see you back to blogging! I also snagged a few running bras on sale last week since they get used so much. From what I understand, the biggest difference in the over 50 vitamins for women is that they do not have iron in them. Hope you find your mojo again over the holidays thanks for linking up.

    • Oh no! I had no idea about the iron. That means another supplement. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Thanks for letting me know. You can tell I did not do my homework prior to buying the bottle.

  4. Totally agree with you about the short redeem times for birthday goodies. Starbucks really annoys me that you have to get your free drink the day of your birthday. They could at least give a week to use it!

  5. I’m happy to see you posting again 🙂 Blogging does take a lot of effort and if you’re stressed about other things it just make it feel like even more of an effort.

I have both the “Run Fast. Eat Slow” and the new “Rise and Run” cookbooks – I’m really enjoying the new one! I still haven’t made anything out of the first one.

  6. I’ve definitely cut back on blogging. Some weeks I just post my recap. I always do runfessions and coffee talk. My book reviews are another must post. If I do more than that, it’s because I have something to say, lol

  7. Hmm, well maybe the “mature multi” has some memory aids in it… I could use that!
I’m sure things are crazy stressful right now- I hope you have a nice Christmas break coming up! Wine definitely helps but I can see how it may not go well with training for an ultra.

  8. I have Run Fast, Eat Slow and have made a few things and a lot of things marked to make but haven’t yet. The next book is on my Christmas list.
I rarely get any of the free offers because they are usually not very convenient.

  9. This might be a duplicate…
I have Run Fast, Eat Slow and have made a few of the recipes with a bunch marked to make but haven’t as of yet. The new book is on my Christmas list.
I rarely participate in the free deals because they are usually inconvenient for me.

  10. I hear ya on the time and effort blogging consumes. I sometimes skip the mid-week linkups, just for a breather. I also have been re-using “green” posts from time to time (those are posts that don’t really have any time or date-specific content). I cut and past some of the copy and change-out some of the pics to freshen them up.

  11. Glad your blogging mojo is coming back – I love reading your posts. But it is really tough to do on top of work and running! I always admire people who post several times a week – on average I do about one a week. Next year, I’d like to double that but not sure if that will be possible so I will play it by ear as things do get so hectic.

I have the Run Fast, Eat Slow and although I haven’t tried many recipes, I love how everything is categorised and all the useful information so I say it’s worth it.

  12. I have a couple of the Run Fast Eat Slow cookbooks (I think the first 2?) and they are good!

Blogging motivation is always hard. I do wonder if it’s worth some of the effort sometimes, but I do hope to get back more into a groove in the new year!

  13. I’ve been super unmotivated as well for blogging, but I’m getting back into it too! Best of luck to us both? 😛

I need to do a hugeee decluttering/cleanse before I buy anything more!

  14. I have the Run Fast Eat Slow cookbook and I used to runfess each month that I STILL hadn’t made anything from it. I’ve had it four years…

My blogging mojo comes and goes. I’ve got it now, but don’t have the time!
