Thank you everyone for your birthday wishes and comments.  Life may not have turned out how I had planned or expected, but I am still lucky to be able to celebrate another birthday.

Before I talk about the many things I am thankful for, I will talk about my birthday giveaway.  In this case it will be a belated birthday giveaway.  I cannot believe I completely forgot about it.  🤦🏽‍♀️ 🤦🏽‍♀️  There will be one prize for a $50 gift card to one of the following stores: Zappos, Dunkin’ Donuts, Running Warehouse, Amazon, or Starbucks.

Now let me tell you what I am thankful for.  There are definitely many things but for this post I will pick 5.

💖 I am thankful for my health.  I am young and healthy.  I can walk, run, and dance.  Ha, I was dancing my heart out on Sunday at my cousin’s birthday party.

💖 I am thankful for my family and friends.  They make me laugh and smile.  I always have a good time with them.

💖 I am thankful for the opportunity to be active.  I may not be running as much as before but I’ve been walking more and taking more Peloton cycling classes.  

💖 I am thankful for my cats.  My fur babies!  They’re both adorable and I love them so much.  Now if only they would love each other like I love them.

💖 I am thankful for my job.  I have my good and bad days at work.  Everyone does.  At the end of the day, teaching is still very rewarding.  My students also make me laugh and smile.

  1. Being thankful for the opportunity to be active is a good one.
    I know a few people who would like to work out. However, they have to make ends meet by working two or three jobs. They barely have time to eat and sleep, never mind finding the energy to work out.
    We also have busy lives, but at least we can carve out some time for our fitness. It’s a privilege to be grateful for.

  2. You do have a lot of good things in your life. I’m thankful for the same things.

    Life never turns it as we expected. I hope there are good things to come for both of us.

  4. Health and the ability to be active are so, so important — and so easy to take for granted if you’ve never had issues with either of them. And yay for cats! I am thankful that other people have cats so I can enjoy them vicariously!

    • I agree. I look at my mother who has so many complications and that motivates me to to do what I can to be healthy. I never realized how much diabetes affects one’s health.

  5. Being able to be active is truly a gift, and is one that you can give yourself. Not everyone can do it, but we can at least all do our best. Happy Belated birthday!

  6. Those are the most important things to be thankful for as they form such critical components of our lives! Update on my cats: after a year, they don’t hate each other anymore, but don’t really love each other either. Still… progress!!
