After the RnR Half Marathon, I did a couple of fun things with my sisters and nephew.
First, we did a hop on/hop off bus tour. Even though I was not sore from the race, it felt good to sit on a bus.
Then I played chess with the teenager. I won.
Last, went to see Ruby Bridges’ school. It was pretty cool.
Overall, it was a great trip to New Orleans!
Your pics bring back great memories. I’ve not been back to NOLA since the hurricane. I need to run that race.
😀
I haven’t been to NOLA for years! I’m so glad to see things look back to normal. What a fun trip!
It was so much fun! Would love to go again.
Your pictures are stunning! New Orleans is such an incredible, unique city. You really captured the essence of its personality!
Thank you! But of course you also had fabulous photos from your trip to Israel.
Ha I saw the Hop On / Hop Off bus. Is it the same one that leaves from the Welcome center? If so the RV park we stayed at is in the block where the parking lot is! I never did get the full story on the caskets though, did you?
I believe so. There were 16 or 17 stops along the route. I think the Welcome Center was #5 and I do not remember hearing any story about the casket. Then again I must have been dozing off. So tired. 🙂
It’s bugging me I’ve got to find out about them!
