This week’s Tuesday Topic: Today is National Vitamin C Day, how do you get your vitamin C? You can write about this topic or post any running-related blog post. Remember to link up with Kim and Zenaida! Visit at least two of the other linked posts – the more the merrier! Remember to come back for later linkers!
I admit that I do not get enough Vitamin C. I do what I can to at least get some of it. Here is what I do:
🍉 I drink a smoothie Monday through Friday. My smoothie has oatmeal, almond milk, protein powder, and either spinach or frozen fruit (depending on my mood). Sometimes it is without the spinach or fruit.
🍉 Eat fruit. I don’t have fresh fruit in the house (I know, I know), but if I see fruit already cut up, then I will grab a plate or two of it. It tastes so much better with Tajín.
🍉 Take Emergen-C. I don’t take this every day. I take it here and there and even so when I feel like I will get a cold.
The topic for next: If you had free entry to any of the World Major Marathons, which one would you pick? Feel free to write about this topic or any running-related topic. We hope you’ll link up with us!
Smoothies are a good idea!
I am eating broccoli as I am typing this… surprisingly, it has as much vitamin C as an orange!
My sister was telling me about broccoli. She has them for lunch. I can probably do the same thing instead of eating a bag of potato chips.
I try to eat an orange or grapefruit every day. Otherwise I don’t take supplements, so I rely on my diet FWIW.
Those are great options. I wish I could be dedicated like you.
Not a fan of smoothies – never drink them but I do eat a lot of oranges and I try to eat veggies each day…
Emergen C really does work, too!
Good to hear about another believer about Emergen-C!
I am a big fan of Emergen C as well! I know so many people that enjoy their fruit with Tajín – i need to try that soon.
It is really good! Let me know how you like it.
Like Darlene, I’m not a smoothie gal either…but I aspire to become one someday. I do eat a lot of foods that are rich with Vitamin C, so I do alright. Like with everything, though, there’s always room for improvement.
Smoothies are convenient for me because I make it in the morning and drink it at work. Sometimes I’ll stop at McDonald’s to get something to eat but don’t do that often.
I have smoothies almost every day! so yes, plenty of vitamin C.
Good to know because I was a bit worried that it wasn’t.
I love Tajin and Emergen-C! Not together, of course!
I am sure it will be good together! 😋
